The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that I-10 eastbound motorists will encounter nighttime alternating lane closures at the US 231 exit (exit 130) Friday, August 18 from 8:00 p.m to 6:00 a.m. The lane closures will allow crews to perform asphalt pavement construction activities. The speed limit within the construction zone will be reduced from 70 mph to 60 mph during the lane closure.

Construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering or exiting the highway. Speeding fines are doubled when workers are present.
