I-10 Exit Closures, Detours in Jacksonville This Week

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that from October 15 to October 19, drivers in Jacksonville can expect temporary route changes at several project-related interchanges. These changes are needed for essential bridge work, weather permitting:

I-10 West Exit to U.S. 17 (Roosevelt Boulevard) Closed:

  • From October 15 through October 19
  • From 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Use the McDuff Avenue exit and turn left onto McDuff Avenue to reach Roosevelt Boulevard.

I-10 East Exit to McDuff Avenue Closed:

  • From October 17 to October 19
  • Between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
  • Take the Stockton Street exit, turn right onto Stockton Street, right onto Irene Street, then right onto Edison Avenue, and finally onto Forest Street to access the I-10 west on-ramp and reach McDuff Avenue.

McDuff Avenue to I-10 West On-Ramp Closed:

  • From October 15 to October 19
  • Between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
  • Northbound drivers can follow Lenox Avenue and Cassat Avenue to access the I-10 west on-ramp. Southbound drivers can use the on-ramp to I-10 east to get to the Stockton Street exit, then turn right onto Stockton Street, right onto Irene Street, and reach the I-10 west on-ramp.

To ensure the success of the I-10 Widening Project, FDOT has partnered with Superior Construction, an industry leader. With an estimated budget of $174.5 million, this project aims to finish by early 2025, depending on favorable weather conditions and unforeseen challenges.
