Multiple Detours Scheduled as Part of Florida’s I-10 Widening Project

As part of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) I-10 from I-295 to I-95 widening project, multiple detours are scheduled at interchanges within the project limits through Thursday, April 13 while crews perform bridge construction operations, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

I-10 West Exit to U.S. 17 (Roosevelt Boulevard): Sunday, April 9 through Thursday, April 13 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will be detoured to the McDuff Avenue exit and left on McDuff Avenue to connect with Roosevelt Boulevard.

McDuff Avenue to I-10 West On-Ramp: Tuesday, April 11 through Thursday, April 13 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., northbound drivers will be detoured west on Lenox Avenue and left on Cassat Avenue to connect with I-10. Southbound drivers will turn left on U.S. 17, exit at Stockton Street, right on Stockton Street and right on Irene Street to connect with I-10 west.

I-10 West Exit to Luna Street: Tuesday, April 11 through Thursday, April 13 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will be detoured to the Cassat Avenue exit, right on Cassat Avenue and right on Highway Avenue to connect with Luna Street.

Nelson Street: Friday, April 7 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., northbound drivers will be detoured right on Gilmore Street, left on McDuff Avenue and left on Lenox Avenue to connect with Nelson Street. Southbound drivers will be detoured left on Lenox Avenue, left on Luna Street and left on Gilmore Street to connect with Nelson Street.

The Florida Department of Transportation hired Superior Construction to complete this $174.5 million project in early 2025, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
