Multiple Detours This Week as Part of I-10 Widening Project in Jacksonville

As part of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) I-10 from I-295 to I-95 widening project, closures and detours are scheduled at multiple interchanges within the project limits while crews perform bridge construction operations, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. Please note that times may be adjusted to avoid conflicting detour traffic along the routes.

Closures scheduled Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • I-10 West exit to U.S. 17 closed: Drivers will detour to the McDuff Avenue exit and left on McDuff Avenue to connect with Roosevelt Boulevard.
  • U.S. 17 to I-10 East on-ramp closed: Drivers will detour to Roosevelt Boulevard to Edgewood Avenue to Plymouth Street and take McDuff Avenue to connect with I-10 East.

Closures scheduled Monday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • I-95 South exit to I-10 West closed: Drivers will detour to the Palm Avenue exit ad take I-95 North to connect with I-10 West.
  • Forest Street to I-10 West On-ramp closed: Drivers will detour to Edison Avenue and take Irene Street to connect with I-10 West.

Closure scheduled Tuesday, April 23 and Wednesday, April 24 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • McDuff Avenue to I-10 West on-ramp closed: Northbound drivers will detour to Lenox Avenue and take Cassat Avenue to connect with I-10 West. Southbound drivers will detour to U.S 17, to I-10 East, to the Stockton Street exit and take Irene Street to connect with I-10 West.

Closure scheduled Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • I-10 East exit to McDuff Avenue closed: Drivers will detour to Stockton Street to Irene Street to Edison Avenue to Forest Street and take I-10 west to connect with McDuff Avenue.

This $174.5 million project is scheduled to be completed in early 2025, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
