I-10 Detours Next Week as Part of Florida’s Interstate Widening Project

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that, as part of their I-10 from I-295 to I-95 widening project, detours are scheduled at interchanges within the project limits from Sunday, November 19 through Tuesday, November 21 while crews perform bridge construction operations, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

I-10 West Exit to U.S. 17 (Roosevelt Boulevard) closed: Sunday, November 19 through Tuesday, November 21 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will detour to the McDuff Avenue exit and left on McDuff Avenue to connect with Roosevelt Boulevard.

U.S. 17 (Roosevelt Boulevard) On-Ramp to I-10 East closed: Sunday, November 19 through Tuesday, November 21 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will detour to Edgewood Avenue, left on Edgewood Avenue, right on Plymouth Street and left on McDuff Avenue to connect with I-10 East.

I-10 West Off-Ramp to Cassat Avenue closed: Sunday, November 19 through Tuesday, November 21 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will detour to the Lane Avenue exit, right on Lane Avenue and right on Highway Avenue to connect with Cassat Avenue.

Luna Street to I-10 East On-Ramp: Sunday, November 19 through Tuesday, November 21 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will detour to Rayford Street, continue straight across McDuff Avenue to connect with I-10 east.

McDuff Avenue to I-10 East On-Ramp closed: Sunday, November 19 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will detour east on Rosselle Street, continue straight across Stockton Street to connect with I-10.

Cassat Avenue to I-10 West On-Ramp Closed: Sunday, November 19 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., northbound drivers will turn left on Highway Avenue and left on Lane Avenue to connect with I-10. Southbound drivers will continue to Lenox Avenue, turn right on Lenox Avenue, right on Normandy Boulevard and right on Lane Avenue to connect with I-10.

This $174.5 million project is scheduled to be completed in early 2025, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
