Detours Scheduled as Part of Florida DOT’s I-10 Widening Project

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that, as part of their I-10 from I-295 to I-95 widening project, detours are scheduled at interchanges within the project limits from Sunday, September 24 through Friday, September 29 while crews perform bridge construction operations, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

I-10 West Exit to U.S. 17 (Roosevelt Boulevard) closed: Sunday, September 24 through Thursday, September 28 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will detour to the McDuff Avenue exit and left on McDuff Avenue to connect with Roosevelt Boulevard.

Roosevelt Boulevard to I-10 East On-Ramp closed: Monday, September 25 through Thursday, September 28 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will detour left on Edgewood Avenue, right on Plymouth Street and left on McDuff Avenue to connect with I-10.

I-10 East Exit to McDuff Avenue closed: Monday, September 25 and Tuesday, September 26 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will detour to the Stockton Street exit, right on Stockton Street, right on Irene Street, right on Edison Avenue, right on Forest Street and take the on-ramp to I-10 west to connect with McDuff Avenue.

Luna Street to I-10 East On-Ramp closed: Monday, September 25 and Tuesday, September 26 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., drivers will detour east on Rayford Street to McDuff Avenue to connect with I-10 east.

Cassat Avenue closed: Thursday, September 28 and Friday, September 29 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., northbound drivers will detour right on Lenox Avenue, left on Edgewood Avenue and left on Highway Avenue to reconnect with Cassat Avenue. Southbound drivers will turn right on Highway Avenue, left on Lane Avenue and left on Normandy Boulevard to reconnect with Cassat Avenue.

This $174.5 million project is schediled to be complete in early 2025, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
