If you’re cruising I-10 through Blythe, California and want a no-frills, hearty meal, Steaks ‘n Cakes would be an excellent choice. It’s right off exit 41. They have generous portions – think big steaks and homestyle sides. The place has that small-town, diner-meets-steakhouse vibe: simple booths, classic plates, and food that leans toward familiar comfort rather than fancy presentation.
On a recent visit we found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. It feels like a family run joint and by the disposition of the customers may appear to be regulars. he decor is definitely older-school, charming but dated.
You get a lot of food for what you pay. All in all, in my opinion, Steaks ‘n Cakes is a solid, down-to-earth stop for filling comfort food and good desserts if you’re looking for an authentic home-cooked meal just off I-10.

I live in Quartzsite Az. About 20 miles from Blythe Ca. My mom used to like to go to steaks and cakes years ago but seems the quality of the food and service has gone downhill in the last couple years.
