For decades, the Arizona State Fair has been an event that’s quintessentially Arizonan – and in a state that’s rich with diversity, culture, and innovation, that means an exciting variety of unique attractions, exhibits, and entertainment. Generations of Phoenicians have known that at the State Fair, there’s no end to the experiences waiting to be discovered.
In keeping with the AZ State Fair’s legacy, the 2019 lineup of events and exhibits boasts a mix of time-honored traditions, brand-new offerings, and everything in between.
Here are just a few of the can’t-miss Arizona State Fair exhibits, attractions, and events that are on the 2019 schedule:
Esports Gaming World
For the first time ever, the Arizona State Fair is welcoming Esports Gaming World, one of the largest and longest-running gaming events in the world. Gamers will go head to head in a series of esports competitions, and celebrity streamers and professional gaming teams will make guest appearances. Adults and kids alike will have the opportunity to check out the hottest new gaming technology at virtual reality stations throughout the exhibit, plus watch gaming demos showing off the newest trending releases.
*Gamers, 21 and over, can participate in the Arizona Lottery Cash Match tournament for a chance to win CASH from a prize pool of $19,000.
In the Arizona State Fair’s retro arcade, there are nostalgic favorites around every corner. You can relieve your childhood with classic games like pinball and skeeball, challenging your friends, family, and fellow fairgoers to see who can take down your high score.
When it comes to the best place in Arizona to see monster trucks, State Fair fans know that the Monster Trucks Grandstand Series is where all the action’s at. All-star trucks and their drivers will put on a thrilling show for the grandstand audience, showcasing a series of jaw-dropping tricks and fierce face-offs that will leave you wanting more.
Figure 8 Racing
With a winding track and high-speed showdowns, Figure 8 racing is one of the Fair’s most exciting events. Witness drivers make the most of speed and skill to defeat this uniquely risky racing challenge.
The state’s best and brightest will compete for State Fair honors, with a series of competitions featuring cooking, arts and crafts, dancing, animal showings, and more.
With exciting events including steer wrestling, bull riding, calf, and team roping, and bareback riding, the State Fair rodeo is an homage to Arizona’s Old West legacy.
