The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that truck parking is now open at the I-10 eastbound rest area near mile marker 60. Remaining construction activities are scheduled for completion in late 2026.
This work is part of the $4.3 million rest area and truck parking improvement project which also includes enhanced lighting, updated signage, improved drainage systems and upgrades to the Truck Parking Availability System.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
