The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will have no temporary lane closures on interstate routes during the Labor Day holiday weekend. Closures will be suspended from Friday, August 29, at noon through Monday, September 1, at 11:59 p.m.

The suspension is to help reduce traffic congestion and improve safety with more people traveling during the holiday. It also provides a safer environment for maintenance and construction workers.
