The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) advises drivers that eastbound I-10 will be closed between State Route 143 and US 60 from 10:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10. At the same time, the following ramps will be closed:
- The southbound I-17 ramp to eastbound I-10.
- The southbound SR 143 high-occupancy vehicle ramp to eastbound I-10.
In addition, the following ramps will be closed from 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10:
- The eastbound I-10 on-ramps at 24th, 32nd and 40th streets.
- Northbound 48th Street between Broadway Road and I-10.
- The eastbound I-10 off-ramp at Broadway Road.
Detour: Use northbound SR 143 to eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) to westbound US 60 or Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) to access eastbound I-10 beyond the closure.
Southbound I-17 drivers should use westbound I-10 to access eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway).
About this I-10 Project
The I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project runs along 11 miles of Interstate 10 between the Loop 202 (Santan/South Mountain Freeway) and I-17 near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Additional work will occur on approximately one mile of east- and westbound US 60 between I-10 and Hardy Drive and on approximately one mile of north- and southbound State Route 143 between I-10 and the southern end of the SR 143 bridge over the Salt River.
