California: Freeway Closures Scheduled for I-10 HOV Project

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close portions of the San Bernardino Freeway (I-10) as part of the High Occupancy Vehicle lane construction project. The following
schedule will be in effect, weather permitting, and is subject to change:

Long-Term Ramp Closures
Through November, 2015 – Eastbound Vincent Avenue South on-ramp

Sunday, June 28
Eastbound I-10
– 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Vincent Avenue on- and off-ramps, Azusa Avenue on-ramp
– 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Puente Avenue, Azusa Avenue, Vincent Avenue, Pacific Avenue/West Covina Parkway on- and off-ramps
– 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Up to 2 lanes between Puente Avenue and Citrus Street
Westbound I-10
– 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Pacific Avenue/West Covina Parkway, Sunset Avenue off-ramps, Vincent Avenue, Azusa Avenue on-ramps
– 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. –Sunset Avenue off-ramp, Puente Avenue, Pacific Avenue/West Covina Parkway, Vincent Avenue, Azusa Avenue on- and off-ramps
– 11 p.m.to 5 a.m. – Up to 2 lanes between Citrus Street and Puente Avenue

Monday, June 29 through Wednesday, July 1
Eastbound I-10
– 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Puente Avenue off-ramp, Azusa Avenue on-ramp, Vincent Avenue on- and off-ramps
– 7 p.m. to 7 .m. – Puente Avenue, Vincent Avenue and Azusa Avenue on- and off-ramps
– 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Pacific Avenue/West Covina Parkway on- and off-ramps
– 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Up to 2 lanes between Baldwin Park Boulevard and Citrus Street
Westbound I-10
– 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Sunset Avenue off-ramp
– 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Vincent Avenue, Azusa Avenue, Puente Avenue on-ramps, Pacific Avenue/West Covina Parkway off-ramp
– 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Vincent Avenue, Pacific Avenue/West Covina Parkway off-ramp, Azusa Avenue, Puente Avenue on- and off-ramps
– 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. – Up to 2 lanes between Citrus Street and Baldwin Park Boulevard
– 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. – Sunset Avenue off-ramp

Ames Construction, Inc. is the contractor on this $193 million project, which will add an HOV lane in each direction of I-10 between Puente Avenue and Citrus Street. Detour signs will be posted to direct motorists. Anticipated completion is spring, 2019. Caltrans reminds you to “Slow For the Cone Zone”
